Author Guidelines
Al-Hikmah journal is a peer-reviewed journal that published twice a year and focuses on study and issues in Islamic law. The purpose of publishing articles and study reports is to help readers understand Islamic law and current events better.
The journal extends an invitation to scholars and experts who are involved in all aspects of Islamic law. Articles should be original, research-based, never before published, and not being examined at by other journals to be published. All submissions that do not comply to our guidelines on formatting or length will be automatically discarded without undergoing review.
- General Guide
The article has not been published in other journals or other places.
The article should be written in English (United States of America English) or Indonesian with a formal style and structure.
The article should be written in a Word document (Microsoft Word), 1, 1 space, 12pt Times New Roman, 5.500 to 8.000 words.
The article is an original work of the author/s.
The author/s have responsibility to check thoroughly the accuracy of citation, grammar, table, and figures before submission.
The author/s have responsibility to revise their article after receiving a review from the editorial boards.
The author/s should register at the e-journal of Al-Hikmah: Jurnal Hukum dan Keislaman (Journal of Law and Islam), before submitting their paper and fill out the form completely.
The article should be submitted online.
The articles will be reviewed by Editorial Board.
Articles are written with systematics as follows:
- Format
The article file must be written in Microsoft Word format. We do not accept other formats, such as LaTex files or PDFs.
- Article Length
The article's length ranges from 7-16 pages, including references. 6.000 of 9.000 words.
- Article Organization
The body of the article should be set (at least) using an IMRaD structure like the following:
- Abstract
- INTRODUCTION
- METHOD
- RESULT & DISCUSSION
- CONCLUSION
- REFERENCES
- ACKNOWLEDGEMENT* [*optional]
